Hello

I only have a second but I thought you all should know Tyler rolled over today WITHOUT the help of the hump on the couch or Erik boosting gravity by sitting next to Tyler. :)

Rolling Over

Erik decided to put Tyler on his tummy on the couch with amazing results today: He rolled over about 15 times from his tummy to his back and then once from his back to his tummy! Yes, my child is a genius. No surprise there.

Kidney Update

For all those of you following the kidney saga, you can finally sigh collectively. Tyler is just fine according to the urologist. He thinks Tyler will outgrow this problem and that we won't need any type of surgery or medicine. He wants to see little Ty again in 3 months but told me not to worry anymore. Yay! On another related note, taking Tyler to the doctor is a huge pain. I'm glad we're done with all the specialists he had to see. He always screams his head off and poops and pees all over the exam table. It's never fun. Here is a picture of him basking in the rare sun we had this week. It was a good 75 degrees in our living room and he was loving every minute of it. He is finally starting to get some fat on his little body--look at those legs! Note: I think he is practicing to be an archer. I've also found a solution to his wanting me to hold him 100% of the time. We got a swing! He loves it and it allows me to get some work done during the day. :) Thing...

One Month Old

Tyler turned one month old on Friday! He has grown and changed a lot just in the last couple of weeks. It is so much fun to watch him now that he is smiling and holding his head all the way up and clasping his hands together--interlaced as if in prayer. He is the cutest baby (ok, so I'm biased). We've had a hard week though (make that almost two weeks--I've been trying to publish this post for 5 days). The other day he screamed for almost 24 hours straight. Luckily Jaime came over to show me how to help relieve his gas and he calmed down for a couple of hours. He has been up all night, up all day and just kind of hard to deal with. Of course I still love him, which is weird. Usually its hard to love someone who deprives you of sleep. :) Update: Like I said, I have been trying to publish this for almost a week--I have had literally no time between work and a screaming baby and laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning but alas I think I now have 5 minutes! Anyway, Ty...

Three Weeks Old

Wow I bet everyone is sick of seeing pictures of my baby and blog posts about nothing else, but I am not sick of it! I love being a mom, I love spending time at home doing nothing but motherly things, and I want you to see Tyler now that he is a whole entire three weeks old! Can you believe it? He's grown so much. He's over 7lbs now, probably about 7.5 lbs. I won't know about his kidney until March 25th by the way in case you were looking for an update. He is sleeping on a great schedule now too. We put him to bed at 10:00pm, he wakes up around 1:00am, eats for half an hour and goes back to bed WITHOUT CRYING (he used to cry and cry) and then gets up again at 5:00am and eats for half an hour and goes back to bed WITHOUT CRYING!! Then he gets up at 8:30am. It's heaven being on a schedule!! Here are more pictures of our handsome little prince now that he is three weeks old!
