This is just a reminder: My husband is pretty much the best. Here are just *some* of the awesome things he's done for me lately: He spent about 30 hours sanding, staining and priming my dining room table and chairs just because I didn't like the color after 4 years of owning the set and I wimped out on doing the project myself. He took me to the fabric store to get fabric to reupholster the dining room chairs and then when I couldn't do it right he took over and reupholstered all the chairs which ended up taking the rest of his day off work. He went grocery shopping for me like three times in the last two weeks, and the lists were huge. He went BACK to the store after I forgot to get something when we went together at 8:00 at night on a Friday. He secretly installed a flowmaster in my Jeep. He chopped up all the ingredients for the corn chowder I was making last night and cooked the meat for it because I was running late after visiting teaching. He went way out of his wa...

Staying home sounds nice....

I am totally frustrated today. I work so hard at my job and I try to do my best but sometimes you just get one of those clients who can't be pleased! I think he is unreasonable but he thinks I am an idiot. So I just have this unshakeable yucky feeling this morning as I try to go about my business. Like, could I have done something differently to make this guy happy? Probably. Did I do anything wrong? Probably not. Do I wish he would take his business elsewhere? Yes. Is that a good way for me to feel about a client I just recently signed? No. I don't know what I'm trying to say. I am just frustrated and I thought, 'Hey I should write in on my blog.' Why? I don't know. Who cares. I guess when you bring in $10 million dollars of investment assets in 6 months you are bound to have one of the clients not like you. I was just getting so used to having everything go so smoothly! Makes me want to just be a total stay at home Mom. I say that now, but the tr...

Happy Birthday to Me!

So today is my birthday, I am 22! (It doesn't really feel that different from 21, to tell you the truth). Yesterday Jaime Martineau (as if there are other Jaimes) took me to dinner and a movie after I had an hour massage (which I get every Monday these days). We had a lot of fun. Jaime was so sweet, she showered me with gifts: A picture frame with a photo of Gunnar and me camping A picture frame with an awesome "Friends Forever" design with pix of Erik, John, Jaime & me A bunch of candy (which Paige my dog took out of my purse last night and ate some of) Tums--the good flavor-- for my wonderful pregnancy heartburn Rootbeer for the movies We had Panera bread bowls of soup and went to see "The Secret Life of Bees" starring Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keyes and Dakota Fanning. It was really fun. Then I got home expecting to find my husband lounging around playing video games but instead he was eagerly awaiting my arrival and asked me to drive him to ...

Whoops

So the doctor called today. Apparently, the ultrasound lady was wrongo bongo. Tyler still has Pyelectasis of the Kidney. Once he is born they have to do tests and ultrasounds on him and give him antibiotics. Then if the problem persists, they have to surgically treat the area by installing a stent or small straw in his bladder. I'm still processing this information but I am trying to have faith in knowing that everything will work out. At this point, most of my fears are selfish; I just want to take him home when he's born-- not sit around a hospital while a doctor cuts him open in some far off operating room. I'm kind of upset. I also have to admit I'm a little worried like what if this means he has Down Syndrome or something--(Down Syndrome can be linked to this problem). I would love him just the same of course but it would be a tough life for our whole family, most importantly Tyler. I know all of this is just worries until he's born but it does sort of put...

My Little Baby

Hi everyone! We had another ultrasound today to see if Tyler's kidneys have reduced to normal size (they have). ~Sigh of relief~ We are very grateful to Heavenly Father for blessing us with a beautiful child whom we look so forward to meeting. Here is a picture of his cute little face! He is clearly waving in the picture. I cannot wait to hold him and kiss him and teach him everything I know! By the way, he is breech. Good times.
