My Sweet Friends/Boring Week

What a boring week! I have spent 4 days in bed so far in a row and I am already going stir crazy!

But lucky me, Alyssa dropped off fun magazines to read and pizza and lasagna for the freezer, plus nail polish (even though I can't reach my swollen feet).

Then today, Stephanie dropped off a fun book of puzzles and a hang man video game! That was just the thing to exercise my brain today. It was so sweet of her to think of me like that.

And a shout out to Analisa for dropping off cupcakes and Amish Friendship bread even though it was last week--I'm still dreaming of those delicious cupcakes.

And thanks to Karen for all the cool baby clothes.

Thank you to all of you for reaching out to me through email, blog comments, texts and phone calls--Heather, Valerie, Jaime, Ashley, Alyssa, Analisa--I'm probably forgetting someone...you are all so sweet. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends. Before I lived in Washington, I never dreamed I would have so many friends who cared so much about me. You girls are so amazing and I love you all.

I have literally watched every episode of Heroes Seasons 1, 2 and 3, I'm caught up on Lost, The Office and The People's Court. I've eaten 2 bottles of Tums, drank 3 boxes of herbal tea, and spent all my Target gift cards at Target.com--all from the laptop in bed. I got cable in my bedroom this morning so now I am all set. I'm still bored but I'm trying to keep busy. I'm also doing work from bed, so that keeps me occupied.

Lucky me, also, my mom is here to take great care of me through Tuesday of next week. She's made breakfast, lunch and dinner (gourmet of course), cleaned the kitchen, taken care of my dog and helped Erik get groceries and pack my hospital bag just in case it's time to go.

It is very frustrating being stuck in bed. Think about all the things you ~have~ to do every day (excluding taking care of your kids) and imagine just sitting around in bed and not doing any of it. It's tough, let me tell you. Not to mention how physically annoying it is to only be able to lie down in bed 24/7. Not to complain too much. I know a lot of you have been through this already so I should stop whining.

I went to the doctor yesterday and my blood pressure was high and my urine was protein-ish so I'm going back in on Tuesday to see if I'm dilated. If not, we will probably discuss picking a date to induce the baby. I'm still hoping he comes early on his own but if not, I am excited about the idea that he will be born within the next 1 - 2 weeks either way. I can't imagine feeling like this for another 4 weeks. So there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Anyway thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, and support. I miss you! Just think, next time you see me I will be skinnier and I will be a mom!! Yay!!!! I bet my boobs will be way bigger too. :) haha.

Analisa's right. Get as much rest as you can now because you'll be tired the rest of your life! I am really excited that the next time I'll see you you'll have a baby though. Although boring I'm glad the end is in sight. Good luck with your appointment on Tuesday.

HIJACK

This post is not coming to you VIA Jennifer. This is her husband, Erik. I decided to hijack her blog (ah...the things you can do when in possession of another's password) and tell her how I feel about her. This will probably not be posted for long, I am sure as soon as she sees it she will remove it. HERE GOES! Jennifer, my dear, I love you oh so very much. On Monday is our 1 year anniversary! A whole year! That may not seem like much, but my oh my it has flown by quickly. Since you are a relative young'un that year actually represents around 4.76% of your entire lifespan(thus far). I still keep my eye out for things that represent 'US'. Who can forget the 'EJ' Truck? I have never stopped looking for, nor noting 28s as they pop up all over the place. I notice all of the little things you do. I notice the little faces you make. I notice the little noises you make. I notice the slight shifting of your posture in response to my incessant joking. This face was made...

One Month Old

Tyler turned one month old on Friday! He has grown and changed a lot just in the last couple of weeks. It is so much fun to watch him now that he is smiling and holding his head all the way up and clasping his hands together--interlaced as if in prayer. He is the cutest baby (ok, so I'm biased). We've had a hard week though (make that almost two weeks--I've been trying to publish this post for 5 days). The other day he screamed for almost 24 hours straight. Luckily Jaime came over to show me how to help relieve his gas and he calmed down for a couple of hours. He has been up all night, up all day and just kind of hard to deal with. Of course I still love him, which is weird. Usually its hard to love someone who deprives you of sleep. :) Update: Like I said, I have been trying to publish this for almost a week--I have had literally no time between work and a screaming baby and laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning but alas I think I now have 5 minutes! Anyway, Ty...
