So as we all know, I gained about 1,000,000lbs during my pregnancy. Let's face it, food is good and I had been dieting for way too long. :) Going forward I have a goal of doing much better when I'm pregnant so I don't have this problem again. But in the mean time I have about 50 more pounds to lose and I want to make it public so I'll actually do it.
So, I started Weight Watchers about 6 weeks ago and so far I've lost 12.2 lbs just on Weight Watchers. I lost weight before that but it was mostly baby and water weight--about 18 lbs. So yesterday Erik brought home one of those digital body fat scales that also tracks your water weight and total body weight. I have to say I'm pretty pumped. I'm more motivated now because I have a real scale that actually works (our old one was 10 lbs off) and now that I know Weight Watchers is really working I'm excited to keep going. I can see my goal in the distance. By October I should be as thin as I was when Erik and I got married. Woo hoo. I have a closet full of clothes I can't wait to wear.
Erik is doing it too. We've both vowed to lose 50lbs by October 31st and when we do, we are each going to get $500 to spend on whatever we want. It's motivation on top of motivation.
Anyway my only reservation is that nursing Tyler makes losing weight take longer because I have to eat 10 Weight Watchers points more than I would if I wasn't nursing. But I believe it's worth it and I'm not going to quit nursing for selfish reasons.
I've also been watching this cable channel called Fit TV. Every day they have different high cardio workouts so I've been DVR'ing them and doing them as much as possible. I've also got my stability ball out and my freeweights for ab workouts. And if the weather ever turns back to good, I'll be out on the BPA trail everyday like I was last week.
So here's what I should look like again in October. PS this is a pre-garment picture.

Let me know if you want to hit the trail with me sometime. I could use the company.

Also, having Erik do it with you will make everything much easier as you'll have someone constantly there to motivate you because he has the same goals! Weight Watchers is great because it is all about eating the right amount, but eating healthy so even with nursing you will lose the weight, and keep it off! And, I used FitTv when we had the bigger cable package. Isn't it great?
Good luck Jenn. You are beautiful and such a great mom. I know it gets hard with work and taking care of a little one, but you are doing great; keep it up!
