Scrapbooking

Anyone who really knows me knows that I don't have a creative/artsy bone in my body. Sure I can do the occasional musical number, but that's as far as the right side of my brain can go. So recently I've been saying that I want to scrapbook (Jaime has like 25 scrapbooks she's done over the years and they are such an inspiration) and now I am really going to start. I found this cool website, ScrapBuck where everything is like $1 and it's all pretty cool stuff. So I am going to buy an album, some paper, stickers and whatever else I need to get started. I have no idea where to go from there but I have about 500 pictures of Tyler that I'd love to get into an album. I'm thinking of doing a section for each month he's been alive until he's older then I can do a section for each year. I inherited some cool scrapbooking stamps and ribbons and stuff from my sister so I have the basics, now I just need some direction. If anyone is really serious about sta...

Teething

Tyler is biting everything in sight. He is drooling all over the place. He is fussy, his nose is stuffy and running and he's not taking naps. He's only 4 months old!! Gimme a break!!! I can only hope his teeth break through soon (though I've heard it can be a long time) so that we can go back to having some peace around here!

So excited, just can't hide it

I still have a very long way to go to get back into my skinny jeans, but I am so excited I wanted to share with you all: I lost 2.4 more lbs this week which means I've now lost 10% of my weight. I have 44 more lbs to go! I should be right on time with my October 31st goal of being 125! Yay! Thank you all so much for motivating me and making me jog up the hills when I want to lie down. I have the best friends ever.

Happy 18th Birthday

Today is Sarah's 18th birthday, or it would be if she were here. This is actually the last photo ever taken of her, one hour before the accident. I've spent a lot of time stifling my feelings--I just don't have time to get emotional. But I can't help missing her every day and thinking about her whenever no one is around and I'm left with just the silence. I still try to call her almost every day. I long so much to hear her voice and see her smile. She really had the most beautiful smile anyone has ever seen. If she were here today she would have had a huge party at the beach, grass skirt and all. She would have had a huge crowd there and everyone would have gotten her a cool present--people loved to give her things because she made them so happy. I would have gotten her a Kathy Van Zeeland purse from QVC. Probably a purple one. I can't describe the pain of being without her. But I can describe the happiness in knowing we will be together forever someday...

First Trip to the Zoo

Tyler took his first trip to the zoo yesterday with Jaime and Deon and their kids. We had so much fun! Here are two pictures of Tyler while he was enjoying his favorite exhibit, the walruses. He was absolutely mesmerized by them. The one he loved the most is named E.T. which is what we call Erik, so it makes sense that Tyler would love E.T.

Learning New Tricks

So we've learned some new tricks this week. 1. Sticking out our tongues: 2. Eating rice cereal with milk (video, press play): I think these speak for themselves. PS: We are just trying things out with rice cereal now that he's 4 months because he's been very interested in real food and the doc said it was ok. But he's still happily nursing night and day :)

Finally Pics with Mommy

Thanks to Ashley, Heather, Suzanne, Karen and Stephanie I've started getting into shape again (I have a long way to go)! But I am confident enough now to release these pics to the public! :) We went walking/jogging this morning on the BPA trail. It was really hard for me but I know if I keep doing it I will eventually be able to do more. Thank you girls for motivating me!!! I can't wait to see myself in a month after doing this every day!
