I een a mall pider pin ilk in the now

(I've seen a small spider spin silk in the snow)

You remember the band Presidents of the United States of America? Well their lead singer made a cool CD call Caspar Babypants that my sister-in-law Kim sent over last weekend. Like Kim, I don't usually enjoy the baby CD's so much, especially after hearing them time and time again. Most of them are a little too sing-songy and the subject matter is usually pretty lame. But alas, Casper Babypants is a CD for all to enjoy. It is the most innovative, creative, unique and fun CD I have ever heard. It's even quite enjoyable musically--he's great on guitar.

Anyway, Caspar Babypants as he calls himself (the lead singer of The Presidents) is giving free--yes free--concerts for kids and their parents at our local King County library! Tyler and I are very excited. We would love if anyone wants to come with us. The link for more info is here. We are planning on going to the Federal Way 320th library on Friday, October 9th at 11:00am. I urge anyone with kids under the age of 5 to go with me. It will be really fun.

One of his songs is called I've Seen a Small Spider Spin Silk in the Snow. You'll notice the title of this blog is that song without the S's. The song is really fun and hard to sing when you drop the S and add new letters in. You'll find yourself singing it in the shower believe you me.

Ok so enough about that. Tyler is now officially weened from nursing, part of me is quite sad, though I had no choice in the matter, it was a medical decision on my part. I have bad migraines quite often and have been unable to treat them until now since the medication is bad for babies. Erik and I decided it was time to take care of me for a change and Tyler loves formula, has no problem with it whatsoever, and I feel very blessed by that. So of course the last few days I've been going around in a sports bra and immense pain, but we've all been there so that's nothing new.

Here are some pix of Tyler feeding himself and just being generally his cute self. He's 7 months old already, can you believe it?

HIJACK

This post is not coming to you VIA Jennifer. This is her husband, Erik. I decided to hijack her blog (ah...the things you can do when in possession of another's password) and tell her how I feel about her. This will probably not be posted for long, I am sure as soon as she sees it she will remove it. HERE GOES! Jennifer, my dear, I love you oh so very much. On Monday is our 1 year anniversary! A whole year! That may not seem like much, but my oh my it has flown by quickly. Since you are a relative young'un that year actually represents around 4.76% of your entire lifespan(thus far). I still keep my eye out for things that represent 'US'. Who can forget the 'EJ' Truck? I have never stopped looking for, nor noting 28s as they pop up all over the place. I notice all of the little things you do. I notice the little faces you make. I notice the little noises you make. I notice the slight shifting of your posture in response to my incessant joking. This face was made...

One Month Old

Tyler turned one month old on Friday! He has grown and changed a lot just in the last couple of weeks. It is so much fun to watch him now that he is smiling and holding his head all the way up and clasping his hands together--interlaced as if in prayer. He is the cutest baby (ok, so I'm biased). We've had a hard week though (make that almost two weeks--I've been trying to publish this post for 5 days). The other day he screamed for almost 24 hours straight. Luckily Jaime came over to show me how to help relieve his gas and he calmed down for a couple of hours. He has been up all night, up all day and just kind of hard to deal with. Of course I still love him, which is weird. Usually its hard to love someone who deprives you of sleep. :) Update: Like I said, I have been trying to publish this for almost a week--I have had literally no time between work and a screaming baby and laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning but alas I think I now have 5 minutes! Anyway, Ty...
