Me Vs. Erik

1. What is your full name?
J: Jennifer Kristin Miles
E: Erik Thomas Miles
2. What is your birthdate?
J: 1-13-87
E: 7/28/1981
3. Where were you born?
J: Castro Valley, CA
E: Boise, Idaho
4. Do you have any children?
J: Not yet...
E: No
5. What is your favorite book and why?
J: Harry Potter. It's amazingly creative.
E: A series of books called "The Wheel Of Time". I love fantasy books, and this series is the best I have ever read. The author died of a rare blood disease before he finished the final book. However, he apparently related the supposed ending to his family and an 'army of writers' so hopefully I will get resolution!
6. What is your favorite song and why?
J: Bohemiam Rhapsody by Queen because it's so musical and the lyrics are heartfelt. Not to mention the awesome electric guitar.
E: This is a HARD one. For today I will go with "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin. Why? Because it sounds like an epic battle between good and evil. Or something. Ask me again tomorrow and my answer will change.
7. What is your favorite place in the world and why?
J: The woods. It always smells so good.
E: Evan's Creek, where I fell in love with Jennifer
8. What is one memorable event that took place in your life in the 1990's?
J: I went on tour with my orchestra and was named Outstanding Musician of the Year and called "Phenomenal" on our commentary by a judge at the competition in Ensenada, Mexico.
E: Just one? I'll take the easy path. I graduated from Melba High School and moved out on my own.
9. What is one memorable event that took place in your life in 2007?
J: I got married to a worthy and handsome priesthood holder!
E: September 15th 2007 I married Jennifer. 'Nuff said.
10. Have you ever or presently own a pet?
J: I had a three-legged cat named Mollie.
E: I have had many pets in the past. I would say my favorites were Tug the Pug, and Deseret the Blue Heeler.
11. Did you ever serve a mission?
J: Every member a missionary!
E: Not yet, check back with me in 50 years!

I'm getting business cards with a headshot on them... which one do you like better for a professional business card?

HIJACK

This post is not coming to you VIA Jennifer. This is her husband, Erik. I decided to hijack her blog (ah...the things you can do when in possession of another's password) and tell her how I feel about her. This will probably not be posted for long, I am sure as soon as she sees it she will remove it. HERE GOES! Jennifer, my dear, I love you oh so very much. On Monday is our 1 year anniversary! A whole year! That may not seem like much, but my oh my it has flown by quickly. Since you are a relative young'un that year actually represents around 4.76% of your entire lifespan(thus far). I still keep my eye out for things that represent 'US'. Who can forget the 'EJ' Truck? I have never stopped looking for, nor noting 28s as they pop up all over the place. I notice all of the little things you do. I notice the little faces you make. I notice the little noises you make. I notice the slight shifting of your posture in response to my incessant joking. This face was made...

One Month Old

Tyler turned one month old on Friday! He has grown and changed a lot just in the last couple of weeks. It is so much fun to watch him now that he is smiling and holding his head all the way up and clasping his hands together--interlaced as if in prayer. He is the cutest baby (ok, so I'm biased). We've had a hard week though (make that almost two weeks--I've been trying to publish this post for 5 days). The other day he screamed for almost 24 hours straight. Luckily Jaime came over to show me how to help relieve his gas and he calmed down for a couple of hours. He has been up all night, up all day and just kind of hard to deal with. Of course I still love him, which is weird. Usually its hard to love someone who deprives you of sleep. :) Update: Like I said, I have been trying to publish this for almost a week--I have had literally no time between work and a screaming baby and laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning but alas I think I now have 5 minutes! Anyway, Ty...
