Shade

There are many shades of white
The purest can't been seen by man
We all strive to attain that perfection
Though we are weak
We fall
We stand up again
We recommit
And we are forgiven.

There is only one shade of black
It's everywhere
It takes over any willing participant
If even for a moment
It washes off like super-glue
It will take your skin with it
When it sinks down the drain.

Gray hurts so many
The thin line between Right and Wrong
The truth with little lies
Intertwined
Always looking over our shoulder
Never getting caught
Making new rules when the old don't work
Like quicksand it consumes us.

Little Reminders

Every day when I look at Tyler I see parts of Sarah. You can't sit there and tell me these pictures of Sarah don't remind you of certain faces Tyler makes! I hope he always reminds me of her.
