This is just a reminder:

My husband is pretty much the best. Here are just *some* of the awesome things he's done for me lately:

  • He spent about 30 hours sanding, staining and priming my dining room table and chairs just because I didn't like the color after 4 years of owning the set and I wimped out on doing the project myself.
  • He took me to the fabric store to get fabric to reupholster the dining room chairs and then when I couldn't do it right he took over and reupholstered all the chairs which ended up taking the rest of his day off work.
  • He went grocery shopping for me like three times in the last two weeks, and the lists were huge.
  • He went BACK to the store after I forgot to get something when we went together at 8:00 at night on a Friday.
  • He secretly installed a flowmaster in my Jeep.
  • He chopped up all the ingredients for the corn chowder I was making last night and cooked the meat for it because I was running late after visiting teaching.
  • He went way out of his way to get milk for me after basketball on Thursday night when he really didn't feel like driving all the way to the store.
  • He bought me the most gorgeous red sunflowers for my newly stained dining room table last night and they are exactly the ones I would have picked out for myself. And he even clipped the ends and put them in a nice vase of water before surprising me with them.
  • Every time the dog barks downstairs at 2:00am he goes downstairs to calm her down so I don't have to.
  • He does all his chores around the house without ever complaining or making me feel bad when I ask him to do stuff for me (since I can't so much as carry a full laundry basket downstairs these days).

Yes my husband was a good choice. I love him very much.

I'm getting business cards with a headshot on them... which one do you like better for a professional business card?

HIJACK

This post is not coming to you VIA Jennifer. This is her husband, Erik. I decided to hijack her blog (ah...the things you can do when in possession of another's password) and tell her how I feel about her. This will probably not be posted for long, I am sure as soon as she sees it she will remove it. HERE GOES! Jennifer, my dear, I love you oh so very much. On Monday is our 1 year anniversary! A whole year! That may not seem like much, but my oh my it has flown by quickly. Since you are a relative young'un that year actually represents around 4.76% of your entire lifespan(thus far). I still keep my eye out for things that represent 'US'. Who can forget the 'EJ' Truck? I have never stopped looking for, nor noting 28s as they pop up all over the place. I notice all of the little things you do. I notice the little faces you make. I notice the little noises you make. I notice the slight shifting of your posture in response to my incessant joking. This face was made...

One Month Old

Tyler turned one month old on Friday! He has grown and changed a lot just in the last couple of weeks. It is so much fun to watch him now that he is smiling and holding his head all the way up and clasping his hands together--interlaced as if in prayer. He is the cutest baby (ok, so I'm biased). We've had a hard week though (make that almost two weeks--I've been trying to publish this post for 5 days). The other day he screamed for almost 24 hours straight. Luckily Jaime came over to show me how to help relieve his gas and he calmed down for a couple of hours. He has been up all night, up all day and just kind of hard to deal with. Of course I still love him, which is weird. Usually its hard to love someone who deprives you of sleep. :) Update: Like I said, I have been trying to publish this for almost a week--I have had literally no time between work and a screaming baby and laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning but alas I think I now have 5 minutes! Anyway, Ty...
